Our Chapter 89 Banner is always present at membership meetings.  This clocks doesn’t yet physically exist, however, the design mimics “Gingerbread” kitchen clocks so much a part of American clockmaking.  If you look closely, you’ll see various critters and other Maine “stuff” on the press-wood front of the case.  Locate the moose, pine cones, cat n nine tails, potato, lobsters, holly berries, lighthouse, fir tree, a swimming loon…maybe even a couple of mosquitoes.  The NAWCC logo appears on the dial. To our infinite regret, we were unable to include a representation of the hordes who descend on our State of Maine annually to crowd our highways and byways (pronounced "ruds"), in the form of tourists (pronounced "summercators" or "summer complaints"), and the later throngs of foliage viewers (pronounced "leaf peepers").The lack of space also precludes the inclusion of a representation of the weather-creased face of a native son jauntily saying "Ayuh!", and uttering various pithy Downeast sayings.
