“State of Maine Clock and Watch Collectors”
Chartered October 26, 1975
Dear Reader,
As you can see in our upcoming events, we are doing things at Chapter 89. Our Annual “Lobstah Picnick” will again be in July at the Rockport Boat Club. Last but not least we’ll have another fantastic auction at our November membership meeting. Plans are already underway for meeting programs from this autumn and into next year and include programs about watch collecting, clockmakers of Maine, reverse painting on glass, and more.
Did I forget to mention our educational outreach at the end of June, held at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore? Grass doesn’t grow on a busy street, and Chapter 89 sold the lawnmower!
This is your opportunity to get connected with the greatest bunch of folks from diverse backgrounds, all with a common cause. Education is key to our success whether the interest is in watches or clocks, collecting or restoration. Our team is hitting home runs at every meeting, and we’d like for you to join us. Great fellowship, great folks and awesome education … it’s a winning combination.
Our membership
meetings convene six times during the year.
Some of our membership even travels from Maritimes Canada for this
wicked-good experience. I’m not
supposed to spread this, but we also have a lot of fun. Still not convinced? Take a gander at our programs listed at www.nawcc89.org .
Members and
guests of members are welcome at our meetings.
You can attend a meeting before becoming a member. . If
you’d like to take us for a “test drive”, please contact our Secretary, Ern
Grover, at 207-490-3500. Since our dues
are only $5.00 a year, we ask only that you cover the cost of your meal.
Once a
member, you’ll receive Chapter Meeting Announcements and be entitled to
participate in our meetings, marts and auctions.
